On August 3, 2024, Chinese cyclist Lyu Xianjing aboard his PARDUS ROBIN EVO made history by completing the men's road race at the Paris Olympics.
This was the first time since 1992 that a Chinese rider has finished an Olympic road race.
A Monumental Challenge
The 275km course was a grueling test of endurance, featuring 13 categorized climbs. The route, which started and finished at the Trocadero, took riders through the heart of Paris, including iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River. The final laps included the challenging Montmarte climb, featuring cobblestones and steep gradients.
A Historic Finish
Lyu Xianjing started the race strongly, staying with the main peloton for a significant portion of the race. However, as the pace increased and the peloton split, Lyu Xianjing found himself in a chase group. Despite being distanced from the leading contenders, he persevered and crossed the finish line with a determined effort.
